Long-stay hotel rooms and Hong Kong serviced apartments will cost upwards of HK$15,000 per month, plus a rental deposit of two-months rent. Check whether government tax and stamp duty are included. If you book month-by-month stamp duty will be payable on every booking and it is not going to guarantee that you can extend your stay. You will probably have to pay extra for internet access and electricity, just in case you are tempted to leave your air conditioning on 24x7. If you book a stay of 6 months or more you are also more likely to be able to negotiate a discount.
