Product/Functional/Implementation Specialists in banking applications or ERPs such as SAP, Oracle e-business suite, Summit or Fidessa.
Developers (particularly C# or C++ with Java), Business Analysts and Project Managers with an investment banking background and experience of STP (Straight Through Processing), FIX (Financials Information eXchange Protocol) and DMA (Direct To Market-DMA).
Consultants from management consulting or vendor professional services backgrounds. Roles include process/industry specialists, project/programme managers (ideally working to fixed price deliverables), ‘rainmakers’, strategy consultants (with MBA), security (CISSP) specialists and solution architects. Vacancies from managing consultant to VP and above.
Sales Consultants (Solution, Product, Services, License, Channel, BPO etc.) with a demonstrable sales record in the country being applied for.

Some regional work experience, local ancestry or language skills are strongly preferred or mandatory in all cases.

IT Contract Jobs in Hong Kong

If you are considering Asia as a contract destination don't come for the money, but for the lifestyle. Although you will earn a rate that will allow you to live well and afford flights and accommodation, the gross rate will be lest that in Europe and you'll have the additional expenses of living away from home. Carmichael Fisher will:

Employ you as a temporary member of staff and sponsor your work visa. The up-front visa processing costs are to be borne by the contractor, although Carmichael Fisher will fully reimburse these on commencement of the contract.
Recommend suitable serviced accommodation.
Pay timesheets based on monthly (sometimes daily but never hourly) attendance in HK$ into a HK bank account.
Provide you limited private medical cover as soon as practicable on/after commencement of the assignment.
In accordance with local ordinance, pay statutory public holidays falling into your normal pattern of work (i.e. Monday-Friday) after three months of service. All other holiday will be unpaid and subject to client approval.
Withhold your last month's salary subject to notification that your local tax liabilities have been settled, as required by local ordinance.

Be advised that Carmichael Fisher will not pre-pay for flights, accommodation (or pay rental deposits, guarantee payments or any way become a contracted party to the lease) or any medical charges falling outside the scope of our company medical policy. None of these items will normally be paid for or reimbursed as an expense by Carmichael Fisher or the client unless expressly agreed to in your engagement contract.
