Festivals & Events
Chinese Lunar New Year in February and the Dragon Boat festival at the end of May are two local cultural festivals, that make for fantastic spectator events. See our festivals page for a full description and the Hip Hong Kong video below, showing Dragon Boating in Stanley.
The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens tournament (see HK Rugby) at the end of March and runs from Friday night through both Saturday and Sunday. This is Hong Kong's premier sporting event. The South stand usually has a carnival atmosphere and many spectators wear fancy dress.
The Viceroy Indian restaurant at the Sun Hung Kai Centre in Wan Chai hosts the monthly Punchline Comedy Club, which is a popular expat event.
